HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY. GO GREEN!!

Thanks to Emily -one of the conversation assistants- we've all learnt a bit more about things in this world, our world. These are anecdotes concerning the 17th March, Saint Patrick's. Enjoy it!!
In the United States:

*The first ever recorded St. Patrick’s Day parade was held on March 17th, 1737 in Boston, Massachusetts.

*Go green!! Green water, green beer, green clothes!

*Celebrate! Irish and non-Irish enjoy parades and parties

Even the river waters go green

I magine you are acquainted with the fact that the 'clover' also referred to as 'shamrock' or 'four-leave shamrock' is not only a symbol of good luck but it is also the symbol of Ireland, country also known as Eyre. The other two important symbols are: the HARP, and of course, a good GUINNESS

And now a theme with 'green', a classic. ENJOY!!!

Alas my love you do me wrong
To cast me off discourteously;
And I have loved you oh so long
Delighting in your company.

Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves my heart of gold
Greensleeves was my heart of joy
And who but my lady Greensleeves.

I have been ready at your hand
To grant whatever thou would'st crave;
I have waged both life and land
Your love and goodwill for to have.

Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves my heart of gold
Greensleeves was my heart of joy
And who but my lady Greensleeves.

Thy petticoat of sendle white
With gold embroidered gorgeously;
Thy petticoat of silk and white
And these I bought gladly.

Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves my heart of gold
Greensleeves was my heart of joy
And who but my lady Greensleeves.

Away, Away
Come away with me
Where the grass grows wild, where the winds blow free
Away, Away
Come away with me
And I'll build you a home in the meadow

Come, Come
There's a wondrous land
For the hopeful heart, for the willing hand
Come, Come
There's a wondrous land
Where I'll build you a home in the meadow

The stars, the stars
Oh how bright they'll shine
On a world that the Lord must have helped design
The stars, the stars
Oh how bright they'll shine
On that home we will build in the meadow

Come, Come
There's a wondrous land
For the hopeful heart, for the willing hand
Come. Come
There's a wondrous land
Where I'll build you a home in the meadow
